Join the staff of St. Louis' top anime convention!
Below are some of the open positions we have, and what it takes to fill those very important shoes! Those wishing to join the Anime St. Louis staff must be 18 or over, submit a resume to ASTL staff, and be interviewed by two or more current staff members. For more information or to submit your resume, contact marketing@animestl.net.
First, a few important notes.
The staff of Anime St. Louis is not a group putting on a show for their own entertainment. ASTL staffers are deeply motivated by the desire to produce the best possible convention for the sake of the anime fan community. Staff members are not and will never be paid for their service. Thus it is important that those applying for staff positions be mature, responsible, and willing to dedicate their time and effort for the greater good.
You may apply to any open position you wish, but ASTL staff may find you better suited for a different job and ask you to consider accepting that task. A resume and interview are not guarantees that you will be brought on staff.
Chair refers to the head of a committee; Vice refers to the person who is second-in-charge. The duties of the Vice shall be determined by the Chair of that committee. The number of staff members per committee shall be determined by the Chair. The Chair is responsible for the productivity of their committee. One person may not be Chair of more than one committee without the consent of a two-thirds majority of the staff, including the President or Vice-President. Committees should have separate meetings to work out the details of their jobs and report the results at general meetings. Committee Chairs shall determine if their committee members need to attend general staff meetings.
All staff members must have reliable internet access. Senior Staff and committee Chairs should check their email minimum once a week in April-September, and once every two days October-January. February up until the con, staff members must check their email daily. Staff members should also regularly check the forums, especially in the Questions for Staff Section and any area that pertains to their committee. Staff members will be required to sign a contract stating that they may not divulge the legal and financial aspects of the convention to those outside staff.
