So...who's ready for some ranting? Anyone have thoughts to share? (BTW... Spoilers.)
Here's mine:
1.The latest chapters have been pretty "bleh". I'm not a fan of Sasuke at all but this is rediculous. Hopefully we can get back to Naruto soon.
2. This close....THIS CLOSE! Almost saw Tobi/Madara's face....*sigh*
3. Eagle? O_<
4. Is Kisame...dead? Or what?

In the translation I read, Sasuke called his group Hawk instead of Eagle. I read mine on Bleach Exile, so I don't know if it's a different translation or not.
As for Kisame... I don't think he's dead. I don't really know what all Suigetsu is capable of (I didn't really jump into the manga until after Pein and Jiraiya's fight), but I don't think Suigetsu's capable of killing Kisame.

Same here. I started reading online there too.
I hope Kishimoto doesn't completely skip it though...Kisame might not be my favorite character but still...
I read my manga on onemanga.com. They called them "Eagle" there.

I don't think Kisame died, but I agree.... I hope that Kishimoto doesn't skip that. Cause... I was really wanting to see that fight. :/
And where ever I read mine, they called it Eagle as well...

Either way, Hawk or Eagle, I think the name change is a step down from Snake (which was really bad too. Sasuke needs to take "Awesome Group Names 101")
And is it me, or is the artwork in Chapter 402 not Kishimoto's best? It just seemed a little... amature-ish. I felt like I was reading fanart for a while.
I doubt Kisame is dead. Granted, I'm not really a fan of him, but I don't think Kishi would kill him off that simply. I think there has to be a point where Sasuke talks to him and gets his interpretation on Itachi. Also, Kishi isn't one for skipping over fight scenes. I'm sure within the next few chapters, they'll flash back to it. I imagine that they just called truce and went their seperate ways.
But:
What is everyone's take on this new, kind hearted Itachi, as opposed to the cold hearted murderer?

I like the Itachi. I actually had a theory that Itachi was good like this, so I was right!!! No one listened to me before, but now.. bwahahahahahah! XD I knew I was right!!!
Anyway, I read the Leafninja forumers are discussing if his Sharingan was normal or Eternal... what are your takes on it?

I am annoyed and the series now...things have gone down hill. Kishi decides to have something one way and then fix it. You see we all know that sasuke is his favorite character so he is making up for his lost sasuke time. Personally I agree that I want t know whats going on with Kisame and Suigetsu....but more importantly if Kishi had stayed on the right path...cause after the great sannin was killed, Pein was supposed to go meet with Madara and where was he? With naruto...so he would have met with him and the kyuubi Jinchuuriki then. That might have caused the series to go farther ahead...but he had to get his precious sasuke in...I dont care much for him...never have and never did.

Yeah. I've gotten rather bored with Sasuke. I mean, the series is about Naruto, but it seems like the past 10-20 chapters have been about Sasuke. Maybe even more chapters than that.
But... Now that's twice he's neglected the Akatsuki... First he ignores Pein's meeting with Madara. Now he's ignoring the Kisame vs. Suigetsu fight. He's gonna have to do something really big (preferably without Sasuke) to make up for that. It better not all be in flashbacks either. I think we've had enough flashbacks for now.

So I guess the whole "Imma gonna get yur EYES!" thing was just convinient on Itachi's part. If he really didn't want Sasuke to know (if Tobi/Madara was telling the truth) I can see how Itachi used it to his advantage.

I have to wonder how much of what Madara said was true. Personally, I'm confused with his whole story of the Uchihas and Senjus. Wasn't it stated earlier in the series that Madara and Hashirama were friends? There's that... and the whole Kyuubi thing. Itachi says Madara was behind it, but Madara says it was just a natural disaster. Hmmm.... I just don't know.

you can't totally blame the series going downhill on Kishimoto-sensei, because he mentioned when Volume 29 came out that he didn believe the series even needed something like Shippuuden, his editor is probably making him do whatever you all are complaining about. And as for the art being worse, the guy has a week to draw a chapter, it's very difficult work ya know.

well then if what you say happens to be true....then that would have left rather a lot of things un answered and many many things left open. Things and closing items on certin people and things would have never come to such an end. There is still a lot that needs to be answered and proven out. Since I am an Akatsuki fan it only seems right that we need to see the other side of the story. Also I dont believe that kisame has been defeted at all..if so then wouldnt suigetsu have the samehada now? As far as I saw...he didnt. I am not really sure where this is all going on now...but it seems that the sasuke thing is over now...and now its time to move on to another section and character. Personally it might either be Naruto and his group or rather Pein and the rest of Akatsuki. But what would be good is if we had a bit more konan...I mean she was really only in a small bit in it and then she was done...need to know more and see more.

Personally, I feel like Kishi is focusing a lot on things that don't really need to be focused on. However, I do feel that Itachi's background was necessary, I also think that it's time to move on past that. In fact, we need to move on from Sasuke from quite a good while. There's so much more that needs to be explained that just hasn't been that I think Sasuke needs to take back stage for a bit and let the rest of the story progess.
