well to be honest on the whole crossplaying aspect of it....if they look more so like a guy then it seems acceptable...however noing its for the guys buying and not girls they are buying makes all the difference. Things would get really really creepy cause there are some that are just plan odd about buying girls that are being auctioned off. But I say as long as they crossplay and look like guys then it really doesnt seem to be an issue...cause it is the Bishonen Date Auction....Bishi=pretty/beautiful men
But in choosing such bishis....keep going for choosing a vareity ^_^

I see that it seems more like prostitution for a female sale, but its all for fun & games. With as monitored as the date auction usually is (big crowds PLUS staffers) and as crowded as the convention itself is, I don't see anything going wrong. And most of us anime gals can take care of ourselves... And like I said before, not every guy is a jerk. I like Shroom's idea of making sure that the girls know how to defend themselves if the need would arise (which it wouldn't) and just keep an eye on who wants to bid on the girls. SOME guys who attend the con are a little too wild (not going to mention any names... >__> ) but they can be watched with a bit more supervision.
Girls want an equal share, lol XDDD

But the selling and or auctioning off does have that prostution appeal to it...hense for another reason it may not be all that good of an idea...but we all are here for fun...so if it goes and we do it...then its all a matter of making strict rules and regulations for the bidders...as well as the girls in the auction themselfs...dont want anything bad to happen. buying a girl isn't prostitution unless the guy plans on doing the nasty with her o.o
anyway, I think it'd be a good idea, I would want to enter just to see if I'd sell for anything xD.

well since we seem to have people in on it that wish to want to have a female auctioning then I say lets do it...but for protection it doesnt hurt to have rules and precausions set up and signed by the auctionier to insure safety and security for both parties.
Well...I can send in a message to Nick to see what he happens to think of it.

We're reading, or at least I am, but since having a bishoujo auction is still in the "under consideration" status, I believe our staff wants to discuss it among ourselves at a meeting before discussing it much here on the forums. Please continue discussing, we will be keeping the various viewpoints here in mind when we make decisions on the events  |
