What kind of music would everyone like to hear at The formal dance? I am getting many messages for a playlist and since I have varying tastes of music not everyone likes it. I want to know what you guys like? Can I specific song names as well? Attachments:

Ayumi Hamasaki's "Ballad" from her rock n roll circus album ^^ ? It has a nice Japanese sound, might be to slow though :/ [slow dance song? lol]

Good suggestion also I use Grooveshark to look up music and hear the style/sound. I'm not really much of a fan of anything else music site wise. It's free and legal, so if anyone is confused as to what any suggestion sounds like go there. listen.grooveshark.com/ so keep 'em comin  |

I know in the past some legit "formal" songs have been played, but that was only fun for so long. I think after a while, some more upbeat songs, maybe include some top 40. I agree with the Katy Perry, Gaga's a must, I know I'd personally go crazy if I heard "Magic" b.o.b. and "we no speak americano" and anything in between~

For a formal dance? Here I have techno music for the rave on my mind.  But at a formal dance, honestly, this is just me and I know it wouldn't apply to other people (in fact I'm sure it would do well to tick people off)... but I think a formal dance should only have "classical" music... typically waltzes and the like. At the very most maybe some latin music for those who do cha-cha, rumba, definitely some tango as well. (This said, I'm not a dancing elitist or anything; honestly, I can't dance at all, haha...) |

Please play me some Kimbra! See has quirky meanings in her songs but is still jazzy enough to be formal. Cameo Lover, Settle Down, but definitely Good Intent <3 Also, the one she sings with Gotye because it is just so pretty to listen to.
