I'm not sure the movie is going to be good. If it is, there will be significant changes to it. There are entire sections of the book that won't work because way that the story is told. At least it won't work for a mainstream movie. I am also scared they will change the ending to make it more audience friendly.
That said, the book was amazing. Fav. Character?

In defense of the movie, Alan Moore saw the script and said that the movie was the best it would ever get as far as a film translation of his work. But then, he also said that thinking that no one would ever be able to make his graphic novel into a film properly.
But yes, Watchmen is amazing. It's one of the only graphic novels on the best 100 novels of the 20th century. That said, I want to reread it, but an ex-friend has my copy... Grrr...

He is so G. xD I really like his whole design and whatnot. Yeah, I heard the same thing about the film too, that nobody could make it properly. So I am a little worried but that's not going to make me not see it. :3

Yeah, Rorschach is amazing, and the only character who didn't compromise his morals, which is why he's my favorite.
I'm still going to see it, but I will say it again, I don't think a lot of it will work. It makes me happier to see that Alan Moore approved of the script for movie form but I still expect significant changes. It will probably be one of those things that will be different, but (hopefully) still good. What will really decide if you enjoy it or not (assuming the film is well made) is how unflinching in translation from book to movie do you want it to be. Since I expect it to be changed I still have a good shot at enjoying it.

I just picked up ABSOLUTE WATCHMEN. The WATCHMEN footage that was shown on G4's coverage of the San Diego Comicon looked really good.
