oooh, I got a question you could answer. Who would you suggest to buy lolita clothes from (as in stores, brands, etc.)? I've been wondering

I could tell you, I just went lolita day with Anne actually. There is only one place you could buy BRAND lolita clothing from an actual store thats even in the area, and that's soon coming for all I can say.. For the most part, unless you have access to online shopping, you mostly have to resort to making your own (Which I am tonight for my friend). And follow many tutorials on the EGL live journal which are all VERY helpful! Trust me. As for brands in Japan adn such that have english services, many tdo but I can't remember off the top of my head which ones have English services. Popular bransd include Baby the Stars shine bright, Angelic Pretty, Anna House, h.Naoto, Mary Magdalene, Innocent world.. But that's just big company even. You can buy MANY offbrand, from small time websites and such. Even commissions. I think its' best to start here.. community.livejournal.com/egllolita-handbook.livejournal.com/Hope this helps a bit. I'm not a full on Lolita like Anne, but I learn a LOT from her. ^^

Hello! Sorry its taken so long for me to reply but let me tell you what I can. Here is some of my lolita advice and info:
Shops will depend on how much you want to spend, and what styles you like. Like, my favorite brand is Angelic Pretty (www.angelicpretty.com/en/index.html). Each piece is very well detailed, and very beautiful. But to some people, the price is high. For people that like Lolita fashion, but don't like the prices I recommend Anna House (www.annahousefashion.com/). Don't be fooled by the money cost, its in Hong Kong dollars! The biggest and most important tip I can give you is, NO EBAY~! Ebay is filled with Chinese shops that give you awful quality items. Girls can be relentless, like in any fashion, and can be intentionally rude and mocking. Avoid those shops and make sure your lace is cotton~! Shiny lace is a no go. The two links that Mimi gave you are good, do your research, look at the girls on EGL, see the questions, read the handbook. If you research the style, you'll be a great Lolita~! Getting the english Gothic and Lolita Bibles may help some as well, but note in Volume #1 it showcases styles from 05' the year the magazine was first publicized in Japan, the styles are a bit out dated.
Here are some stores that ship overseas:
Metamorphose Temps De Fille: www.metamorphose.gr.jp/english/
Baby, The Stars Shine Bright!: www.babyssb.co.jp/
Mary Magdalene: www.marymagdalene.jp/contents/guide/oversea/
Moi-même-Moitié: www.cdjapan.co.jp/jpop/essentials/mmm/
Angelic Pretty: www.angelicpretty.com/shopping/
Another Helpful link is the Lolita Fashion website: www.lolitafashion.org/
I hope these links and info help you~! Please come to the panel for a more in depth detail of information and a raffle!

We're sad you wont be able to stay the whole time, you'll miss the raffle! Yet, we really appreciate you coming at all. All of the Mo Lolita are glad to have you and everyone attending~! When I found out we'd be running against the date auction I literally started crying, I didn't think people would bother since they had to leave early, so I appreciate hearing this
