My first convention was one of the many Kunicons in 2005, and it just happened to be in St. Louis. I'm excited to see a convention there, again, and I'm thinking about volunteering next year. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to tag along this year with my con's table group, but what's it like? Is the dealer room huge and whatnot?

The dealer's room isn't as big as Otakon. Ok, ASTL dealer's room is tiny compared to Otakon. Volunteering is fun. I volunteered at registration. You meet all sorts of nice people there.

I can imagine. owo I've done registration work before, and that's what I'd like to do if I volunteered. Who knows?

Same here. At the Millenium Hotel. After Kunicon, I was at E3 (Was on an episode of Filter, back when it had Diane Mizota). Then it was nothing till Anime Stl this year.

Kunicon was my first too, that was pretty cool, I'm really glad that they brought one back after that one tanked.

I never knew there was an Anime con in Missouri until 2007. Show's how much I know. Registration is really fun but it is a big headache when the local school kids get out of school for the day. Working in the anime viewing rooms are a blast too. Just if your going to volunteer in the anime viewing rooms, let the credits play all the way throught. -.-;;; Otherwise if you stop it people get mad.

I didn't know about the con until 08, but I wouldn't have been able to go before that year anyway, because we were living in New York. I'm still amazed I was able to go to 08, because we were getting ready to move into our new house. I just needed to get out of the house we were staying at, because grandpa was driving me insane... and I heard Johnny Yong Bosch was gonna be there, which made me happy.
I can't really compare the con to other cons, because I've only been to Anime STL. XD I think it's a really good con. ^_^

I couldn't goto the con that Johnny was in, here in St.Louis. I had to work that day and found out about it like a month before hand. That sucked.

Oh, believe me, I know all about that, and I typically like showing the credits anyway (as the schedule will typically line up better if you do due to episodes typically being about 20-25 minutes in length; it eliminates break periods before the next anime is shown). How many people do you typically have running your registration desk at once?
