[glow=white,6,300]Our Friday night dance theme IS - [/glow]So what is Fairy-kei?
Fairy-Kei is one of many street fashions from Japan. It is light, soft and cute! It has a distinctive set of color combinations, such as pastels. Variations of pinks like, pink and red, Pink and white, pink and black, etc. If you can’t tell pink is considerably abundant but if you look at Outfits in the link below you see not everyone makes pink the main choice even though most do. So boys don’t fret; a few guys have shown the love for Fairy-Kei too. If you don’t feel like showing it, feel free to throw together an 80’s inspired look minus the pastels and pink! The pioneer of Fairy style is fashion producer Sebastian Masudea who opened the fairy clothing shop “6% Doki Doki” in 1996. He has been contributing to the style ever since. He created a special kind of environment for his shop by styling the makeup of shop clerks to the exterior and interior design according to his themes, “Sensational and Lovely.” “…not only cute but also Happy...with a feeling of unreality.” Another store that helps the influence of Fairy Kei is “Spank”, which opened its doors in Kouenji in 2004 by Mr. Tavuchi. Spank has a steady theme of pop disco from the 80’s. It is inspired by the United States in the 80’s and early 90’s. They produce some original products such as t-shirts and accessories, as well as some second-hand goods.

is there going to be a dance that a noble Knight could attend because this does not seem something that everyone can go to... Yes if you want to dress like that, it is allowed...lol Dressing in theme won't be mandatory but it will be much appreciated, and of course you wont be eligible for the contest and prize. But we will not turn people away for not dressing according to the theme.

It sounds like a fun idea for everyone. I know some people will be confused about what to wear and whether to go in their cosplays or not. It's not mandatory to go as the theme, you can go as whatever you want but it would be a nice photo op for many people as well as a good way to meet and discuss each others outfits. Good theme in all.

We will try to have an area set up for people to take photos in accordance to the theme, we'll let you know if that is for sure closer to the date.
