I was Black!Oz Bezarius, laying in the middle of the floor with Canada, dancing with two non-cosplayers, pretend flashing, etc. I wore my wig the whole weekend but my Oz cosplay for the end of Friday and all of Saturday. I wasn't really afraid when the tornado came, just worried about the worried people~ After it was over I had a random short conversation with someone about how we could have used our pokemon to save us.
A LOT more happened but most of it dealt with hotel rooms, puddles, No-Pants!France, and Canada going commando... Oh! And Bishi, the funny hammered guy. I had so much fun :D

Anyone else here at the Gundam Rising: Alternate Universes panel? That was lots of fun. Kudos to the host that was in the Gendo Ikari cosplay as well. Great job there. I was the guy who said his fav "AU" character was Athrun because he ended up getting a near-harem going on in Destiny. haha

I had so many people commenting on my cosplay! I felt flattered everytime someone wanted to take a picture or hug me. xD Though, sometimes I didn't have a choice in the hugs - not that I minded. For my first con/cosplay I had sooooooo much fun! The "techo dance" was amazing and Troy Baker was hilarious - "apple juice". He signed my fan. >.> Woot. \ OMG! Were you the really tall Kisuke? I totally hugged you...I love Kisuke SOOOO much! Yes, I was probably the tallest one there. With the clogs I was about 6'3". If you have that picture I <3 you. XD I didn't have a camera. :/

So I was the Saiyan girl in the date auction. That in itself is a story.
First of all, I wasn't expecting to be picked to be in the date auction in the first place. Prior to the con I kept having nightmares about forgetting my cosplay, not showing up on time, etc. So when the day finally came, I was hella nervous. I just hoped that I would go for more than $20. I went on stage, and the bidding immediately went from $5 to $30 0.o Eventually I sold for $175. So relieved that I didn't sell for $5. lol.

(Does his best Chester A. Bum impression:) OMG!! Anime St. Louis was the greatest Convention I've ever seen in my life!! There were these guys named Mike Reynolds, Ed Glaser, Doug Walker, Dirk Tiede, Richard Epcar and the token lady Ellyn Stern! And they were all like "Hi." and we were all like "AWESOME!!". And then there was this tornado, and people were singing, and then there was some Alcohol... and it's kind of blurry after that. I blame Mountain Dew.

Oh there were a LOT of drunk guys. And girls. Thankfully I wasn't one of them - contrary to my previous joke, I don't drink... alcohol.

There's got to be at least one sober person in every group... so someone remembers what happened the next morning... and make fun of others later. =P

XD There was an Asuka that came up to me one night and asked me if I was any good at cutting hair. She or someone else couldn't cut evenly.
I went in the bathroom to help her out since I DO actually cut hair and I'm quite good at it.
I later asked her how she could tell and her reasoning was: "Your hair looks nice."

My friend got drunk like in the gamer's room. Word of advice and I'm not trying to be funny: When somebody offers you a drink in a unmark container, do NOT take up on the offer. You NEVER know what's in that drink. Some fuckin' pervert could have some roofies in said unmarked drink. I ain't trying to scare anyone but still...
Anyway, on a lighter note, when i was hugging some girl, she kissed me on the cheek. Not that I was upset it just that I didn't find that too cool, you know? I mean, it made me happy but on the other side, why would you kiss a random stranger.

IIRC, wasn't the Convetion Center like serving beer?

Being that this was my first time in the St. Louis area, I had a great time. Of course, the tornado did disrupt the activities just a bit, but at least we all survived!
My friend Chris "won" that date with Saiyan Girl. And, yes, he DID pay $175 for that date. During the auction, I was the Wario that tried to buy Ryoko, but I didn't realize there was an ATM nearby. Guess that's why I cut my bid off at $75.
When the tornado passed by on Saturday, I was just about to get onstage for the skit competition. After the chaos, we got to do it with an extra bit at the end to tell everyone we survived the twister. I wonder if it was that extra bit that won us the Honorable Mention for Best Parody...
I even had some fun with the Whose Line panel outside being the "Change" judge. Overall, it was a great panel as well.
Too bad the only problem I had was having my signable stuff stolen while I was taking a picture in the lobby area. At least it wasn't too valuable.
For a smaller con, this was great. And I will be planning on another trip to ASTL next year. Yes, it was an eight hour trip one way to get there, but I will gladly make that journey again.
