Hello all. I am very interested in attending AnimeStl and purchasing a table, however, upon viewing the AA registration I have a suggestion I would like to make. Is it possible to set up a system like a lot of other conventions, which is to take online registration, and then request payment when table space's approved? The way this is now, it means I have to mail my check/money order without knowing if I will get a table or not, if I don't get a table it would mean that I've wasted money on mailing the money out. And if I do not get a table, I would be worried if my check/MO will be cashed by mistake if it isn't mailed back to me. And now if it's mailed back to me (like Anime detour does), that's another money/time wasted. So I would highly suggest sorting out table space and wait list first BEFORE requesting money. I personally do not feel good about sending money out for something that I am not guaranteed getting.
And question to artists that have attended AnimeSTL AA.
Hi all. To people who have experience in the AnimeSTL AA, I am wondering how the traffic was? Do you think it's worth coming to? Was it well organized? I usually don't ask these questions, but the lack of official FAQ, lack of information(hours, procedure,) and the lack of AA staff's response to artists' questions(like the tax thread and set up thread) gets me worried a little.
