First time going to con and cosplaying

Hello all this will be my first con in STL even though I live in Ofallon IL which isn't that far from stl or collinsville. Just figured I would make a thread to get some responses from people and possibly form a meetup in the loby or something oh and im cosplaying as Cloud from FFVIIAC

Hello, and welcome! This will be my third convention, and they get better every year. I love seeing all the cosplayers, their interpretations of the characters, the ones who are able to behave in character so flawlessly. I'm still working on getting the nerve to ask more people for pictures of their cosplay.

I'm planning on dressing from the FF verse, myself. I'm thinking Friday. BUT, I'm waiting for the 10 day forecast to include the entire weekend of the con so I know what day would be best for what outfit. But, I'd love to get a picture, while I'm dressed from FF, with a Cloud cosplayer due to my Dead Fantasy adoration (I love FF very much, but the fanmade DF series is so cool, too).

I always like getting to put faces with usernames. Speaking of, I always write my username on my badges.

Hello! This will be my second con, but first time cosplaying. I'm not much of an anime fan, so I won't be dressed as a anime character and I'm slightly nervous about it all.

Awesome, I should be able to find you at some point, then. My group and I tend to hang around in the hallways and people watch more than anything else.

That is really awesome for a first cosplay, and with only two months of work! I've been working on my stuff (little by little) over the past year and am still trying to get everything finished by next weekend. ^^;
