I'll try to answer everyone now, lol.
Yes, hugging him is painful! He's spiked me a couple times and he's tried biting me. He has bit my dad really hard.
His name is Sonic. I know its kinda cliche... but how could I pass up the opportunity?
He is inside a giant cardboard tube I got for him to sleep in. He is sleeping in there right now.
I haven't got to interact with him too much because of his sleeping.
I'll have to wait a while before I can bring him anywhere. He gets motion sick very easily. He didn't enjoy the car ride on the way back home...
If anyone wants to consider owning a pet hedgehog I can tell you about care and a pretty close breeder.

Here are more pics  This is a kinda "face shot" of him. Yes, one of his eyes are slightly different from the other. He has a facial scar from birth.  He's trying to go to sleep here and he's kinda cranky so his spikes are out. He looks even bigger though when he sticks them all the way out. |
