I would be extremely happy getting a drink with all the older otaku. I doubt there is drinking allowed in the convention center, but the Doubletree has a bar.

Yea, my best friend and I were talking and agreed that it'd be nice getting to meet some of the older con goers. We'd be for it!

I'm 20 now!
I can't wait for 21 though, not just because of the alcohol thing. I want to be 21 so I can reserve a hotel room for cons - because nowadays you almost always have to be 21 to stay in the hotel the con is connected to.

I should mention that even though I, myself won't be partaking of the alkeyhol (intended misspelling), I'd buy someone else a drink. I can't have any as it will conflict with meds I am on for a rather severe anxiety disorder. Plus, I can't imagine myself as drunk, I'm off the wall and strange sober... ;D

I turned 31 right at the deadline for online registration, and this will be my second ASTL. Been going to cns for 6 years and counting

So, when and where is the bar escape from the unsupervised teens who feel that the you must run to each panel and the voice level of choice all weekend is scream. I'm glad the younger crowd has fun (they are the future of anime fandom), but for some of us...we need something a little stronger than ramune...
