So, I'm on an epic quest (that's becoming more and more less epic day by day) to find one of those cat bell collars as part of a cool concept cosplay me and Vexen are putting together for Tokyo In Tulsa
Problem is, TnT is coming up in less than two weeks, and I STILL can't find one! Gah. I missed my chance to buy one at the past ASTL, and I can't find one online (ebay, amazon, etsy, all swings and misses). So, some help would be greatly appreciated.
If you could find one with a black collar, chain and a large bell that's no ridiculously priced, or know where I can get one from, I'd be ever so grateful.
Thanks! --Scarlet

I'm not sure =exactly- what you're looking for, but simple collars aren't too difficult to make.
Go to Hobby Lobby - they sell everything you need to make one for a decent price. They sell large bells for about ninety-nine cents (or around that price) -- get one of those, a strip of leather and black leather stain - if the leather isn't black.
Also go to the jewelery section and get a plain chain to use later on.
Cut the leather into the size strip you need - I recommend a box-cutter - and stain it, if necessary.
Depending upon how you want the collar to look, you might add a second , thinner strip on top of it around the centre. I suggest doing this if you want to attach one of the clasps for a chain to hook on - sort of like what you'd see on a pet-collar. Attach the leather using grommets - you can also find those at Hobby Lobby and all you need to install them is a hammer. ^^
If you're adding the hook for a chain make sure you put that on before attaching both ends of the leather - secure it between the top and bottom pieces of leather with a grommet on either side.
Then, attach the bell - you can with several different methods, though the easiest we've found is to get heavy-duty thread and a large needle. If you're putting the bell on the top piece of leather, make sure you do that first so it's easier to work with.
You can fasten the collar in several different ways - they sell small buckles or you can improvise a way to latch it. I've seen some cute creations using large necklace clasps.
Sorry, I know a lot of that makes no sense - but if you do decide to make one and need help, let me know and I'll do what I can to talk you through it - they're fun and easy to make~. ^^
If you're not into leather-work and still want a collar, I can refer you to a friend of mine that makes collars - she's not too busy right now and I believe she'd take the commission - and it's something should could finish in a day or two.

The Crimson chain will be at tulsa. They sometimes have the collars you are talking about.

For my cat collar, I just got some ribbon and attached a bell. Worked fine for me

i really think you're just going to have to make one. which is pretty easy actually. just get some heavier fabric or maybe some ribbon and attach a large bell to it.
