Okay, so I'm doing Shuichi Shindou from Gravitation and I got a cheap hot pink wig from the K-Mart near St. Claire Square in Fairview Heights. Thing is, I can't seem to get it to look like Shuichi's hair. We also got a long blonde wig for vgameman2011 and we can't get it to function in a normal ponytail. Any advice?

Yes, don't get halloween wigs. :< They aren't designed for styling, even the theatrics shop on my street says so. Its worth dishing out the extra money to get a Cosplay wig, since the frustration won't haunt you anymore. Halloween wigs, while if you get lucky sometimes they are workable, SOMETIMES though is more like less than 20%. They aren't made to hold any kind of styling products most of the time either. As long as its low quality, it will never hold casually like a Shuichi style.
Ponytails are very hard to accomplish with wigs, and usually have to be pulled off a certain way to look decent. If you are using a halloween wig for that one too, I'd really say just buy a short cosplay wig, sleek it back and get the ponytail extension or buy one customly made just for it.

Well, we got the K wig to work, but the Shuichi wig is still a pain. =( I think I might have to get a cosplay wig like you said. Thanks.

I would suggest Cosworx or amphigory. wigs range from $20-40 average, but they're much higher quality than halloween wigs

Oh man I love Cosworx~ Though I admit they are a bit pricey, those wigs are well worth it. Amphigory is neat aswell.

well, my first advice is to never buy wigs from stores like kmart or Halloween stores.
