Yeah.. SO I spent ALOT of money on a miku wig a couple of months back.. And when I got it one of the ponytail holders was broken. That was a big problem.. I put a new one in.. But my wig still looks like crap. It's got a GIANT rats nest at the bottom of one of the ponytails. And I have no idea how to fix this. And I have no idea what to do because one ponytail is higher than the other. And I can't get the broken one high enough...

Personally, though some people don't like the idea, I layer it lightly. It solves a LOT of tangling I've had in the past. Even if you get all the tangles out, it won't stay untangled. And people say that it makes the wig look thinner, honestly I think it looks a LOT more realistic. Kadaj and I've done this each once, both times working. Her Grell wig she layered, doesn't look bad or anything and untangles almost INSTANTLY. My Orihime wig which is about two feet long, once I layered it it turned out SO much better. I wish I could post a picture, but right now it's damaged since I was caught in the rain with it. :/
But Nonochan if you choose to go with layering, I'll try and help you if you want.
Plus I have a few more questions. Where did you order you wig? And have you worked with pigtails before? Because those are actually one of the most difficult wigs to pull off and look nice. I know a technique or two to make it look better, but I more need to know where it came from to do so.

Okay, I'll help you over Facebook or something so we can chat quicker. Lucky for you, someone on a community I'm on is selling a very high quality Miku Hatsuhane wig for 37$ that has very good pigtails, made specifically for pigtails.

And there's no wind. Long wigs are a pain in the bum. (Layering does work though.) Edit: I forgot to mention that my wig is so difficult because I had already messed it up by using a BRUSH to detangle it the first time. Don't use a brush!! Use a comb!

You can use a brush, just not a hair brush. You need to use a brush that is made for wigs. Though combs are generally better.
