MOCHi*MOCHi~Maid Cafe~Hello Everyone! We will be returning next year if we are allowed to bring food in again this year. We have now named the cafe, "Mochi Mochi Maid Cafe" but feel free to call us Maid Cafe still if you wish. We will most likely have the same menu this year except no cookies [well possibly, but not the same ones from last year] and some add-ons. We will be selling Mochi this year, which are very tastey Rice Buns that I love!
We have a sponsor this year, which is Anne Rose which most of you are aware of. We currently do not know what kind of area we will have this year. We are taking suggestions though what you would like on the menu this year. But please understand this before anyone asks, we will NOT have Onigiri/Rice balls. Please understand that before you ask, there are many reasons why. Please also keep in mind that this is cafe so we aren't going to be selling full meals or anything, cute and tastey treats really. Ramen is the only exception due to its immense popularity last year and how everyone likes a quick lunch to go. I cannot garuntee we will take your suggestion for the sheer fact we are on a budget so what gets accepted gets accepted so please try to not make a fuss. ^^; As information is found out we will post it! Also, we have a very special surprise coming thats in the works, and it'll be released closer eventually. ^_^
This year, Our Crew is the following... Mimiako-Head of Staff/Owner, Maid Waitress Kira-Second-In-Charge, Cashier/Hostess Jo/Cooking Mama-Cook [AKA preps food] Aurora-Waitress/Butler Chibi-Advertiser [In a Maid Costume]/Backup Waitress/Webmistress Anne-Sponsor and Decorator
We would like feedback from last year too. ^^ Since we didn't get to stay for the feedback session. We have a website aswell now, but it is under construction!

Hope to see everyone again in Anime STL 2009!

Its good to hear you'll be back and that you have everything in the works for next year already. However, I really did not do much then buy a few things. Although it was well handled when I did so. Advertising was good as well.
Best of luck you to girls, Hakkai ^^

I am really excited to be connected with Mochi Mochi as a sponsor, decorator, & as well the site designer! My business partner nearly squeed to death when she heard we where sponsoring such a cute thing! Its definitely one of my tasks of many upon visiting Japan next summer is being able to go to a maid cafe! The idea is so cute, and I'm again super happy I will be a part of making it possible! Mimiako is a great girl and I know she's going to do an amazing job again, as well as the other Mochi mochi hostess's & maids~! Please make sure you stop by & support MM Maid Cafe, because I know its something not to be missed! Though I'll probably be in the dealer room, I am sure not going to miss it, I'll make one of my staff work extra hard while I take a break, sorry! haha.
xoxo; Anne

Is there any chance you guys could like, be open for awhile in the morning like last time, but then also a bit later into the day? I dunno, it's just the hours you guys had it I couldn't make it to the con. So I missed out on everything.

We'll probably be open more in 2009, but our hours also depend on some big events aswell. If the Masquerade and Bishounen Auction are during our open hour, most likely we will be gone during it but our parents will run it while we are gone. This year we will be a little more organized with it. XD We really did not expect people to want to come as much as they did.

Yeah, there are quiete a bit of reasons. 1 is that we won't be able to obtain them from a good resturant without it costing a fortune and keeping them all fresh. And then if we were to try and make them, still it would take much rice and nori, and Sticky Rice is bothersome to make and take a while, and then we would be crossing over into health issues. =/

I see, that is totally understandable.

^^ Yes, every year we will have Ramen. Last year we didn't have enough Ramen but it was most due to not actually seeing that we would sell out so quickly. We will have plenty of Ramen this year. ^^

If you guys were running in the morning that would be lovely ^^ Because we didn't really get breakfast or anything like that because it was a bit expensive at the hotel restaurant and we couldn't really leave so buying a yummy snack for breakfast sounds perfect ^^
