I'm not experienced but you could make a line down the center of everything to make it the highest point on them and then sand them in to a slant. If that makes sense.

well as a prop maker i too think making a center line on the side of the object (thin edge, NOT the side that will be seen) this is a good way to make sure you sand evenly. Depending on what part your talking about Drimal or wood file would work.
