my friend has a hobby of cracking other peoples knuckles and fingers. it's so wierd and hurts for a while since he does it everyday. but then you get used to it after two weeks.

Fanfiction I guess although that's more of an addiction than a hobby, lol.
I also love to experiment with my hair, I cut my bangs sometimes but mostly I try new styles and color. I love buying hair dye from hot topic and throwing it on to see how it looks. Sadly I have to take it all out for a musical I'm in but at the same time, I'll have a blank canvas again. ^^

One odd hobby that I've gotten into is watching game walkthroughs on youtube. Like..I'm too scared to play Silent Hill games myself so I watched all of the games up until Origins on youtube xD and now I'm watching games that I either don't have the system for, the money for, or just don't want to play myself
people say it's like..that's cheating and stupid D< go play it yourself!! and just Idk =/ I'm addicted >>

CaptainAura Im scared of zombie games like Silent Hill, can't play them. I hadn't thought about watching them on youtube. That's something I'll have to do.

I'm too old to really care what my parents think of my otaku-ness or the music I listen to (heavy metal FTW!) but my mom did get a laugh out of the Strike Witches ad in back of the current issue of "Otaku USA."
(somewhat stereotypical that I'm living at home... I have reasons I'll gladly discuss with anyone at the con)
I'd hate for them to find out a bit too much about doujins and the more naughty side of anime (which they know exists but not what kind of weird, kinky and gross things are really out there.)
Anyway, it was always something with me; music, video games, anime etc.

Disapproving activities - watching anime and reading manga... though really I don't do it as much because of classes and work and such.
Cosplay - another disapproving activity.. they're always like - why do you waste your money on that.
Going to conventions - wasting your money. Whatever.... I'm having fun with my friends.
They think I'll stop going when I get out of college... riiiiigght...

not that anyone disapproves, but i've never met anyone else who's into graphology.
i love it so much and now anytime i see something handwritten i have to stop and analyze it.

Just got into Amtguard a few days ago and some lady at my school call us "Basement Warriors". I laughed it off and keyed her car ignore it.
