I would definitely be interested in becoming a part of a group!
Sadly now that I'm graduating from my University, our (already small) group is sort of scattering to different places and I'll be in need of a new group. I have fair costuming experience and would really love to get to know some more people in the cosplay community!
The only downside for me is that I live on the Illinois side of STL, so some meetings may be a little far for me - but occasionally I'd be willing to drive out to wherever.

Strange Little Bird;
One of my BFFs used to live on the IL side of St.Louis. Ironicly, we met through our cosplay group back in. . . 2004 I believe that's when we first started. She's now in grad school in Korea. :-( Anyway, point of that, where in IL do you live?
I live the farthest out, we could make meetings some place good for everyone. We used to meet at the Borders on Olive, then we moved to the St.Louis Bread Co in West County, our last meeting place was at the Mills in Animagination. My bestie, who is trying to start the group with me lives in St.Ann by the STL airport.
Anyhow!~ So, we could all plan a meeting! Get to know you sort of thing. I'm going to the Mills Meet-up tomorrow; but we could plan something else as well. ^.~

I tend to be a very open person sadly no one seems to talk to me until i start a rampage <_<... and that makes me more mad... This is my home state and i wish there was a little more Zelda fans to cosplay with, and at lest beable to chat with on here with. As i said before i'm the only Zelda cosplater on this forum, thus another reason for my rampage... there is so meny other cosplay groups here, so why not Zelda!!!. also i have seen great cosplays here in STL so why can't someone them try LoZ cosplays?....

I wish I could meet up with you guys today but its too short notice. I also live on the IL side.
To hachiko: I'm cosplaying the shippuden Sakura Haruno from Naruto. Like I said, overdone, but I love her character.
To Link: I was looking forward to seeing your character, even if you are the only one. I've only ever played the original Zelda (for the first ever nintindo) but I thought it was awesome. It's been a while but...anyway.
To koibito sanada: hola! It's been awhile I know. I've been busy. I'm in our school's musical so I have practice a lot and then my AP art stuff is due soon and on top of that all my other hmwk. =( sorry, hope to talk soon!

I live in Lebanon, IL -- it's about 35 minutes from the MO border/STL - about an hour to get to the Mills, etc...
And I'd love to meet up with everyone at some point - but I have to know pretty far in advance so I can adjust my work schedule. ^^'

Thank you, i know i had a person come up to me in 09 asking me why i was not in Link gear, LOL when i was in my Ordon Village Link cosplay. Then even person in a video of the date auction, He was just jerk that knew nothing, and just likes to run his mouth about other people. The reason that i ranted was because i can't seem to get a cosplay group going for LoZ... and the fact that i'm the only one on here that stands up for the LoZ games/mangas/anime( yes, the ANIME made in the late 1980's). People say its "out dated and old" WRONG! new games are being made and will keep being made for a long time. YES, the first game was made in 1987, but you know what!! that says something for its awesomeness!!!
You know i would love to see alot more of my childhood cartoons in cosplay form (Chip and Dale's Rescue Rangers, TNT, Ghostbusters, Beedle Juice, ect) OLDSCHOOL POWER!!!

She lived in the Maryville/Edwardsville area. I don't know where a good location for you guys would be, how far are you from Fairview Heights? I know how to get to the mall there, I've worked there a couple times. Malls are always good locations to meet, especially for the first time.
But, we can always plan to meet up at Anime St.Louis. Find a location; chat, I can take pictures of everyones costumes and we can order pizza. (I'm a amature photographer. XP)
I understand planning in advance, I work full-time, so I too have to move around my work schedule to make sure I'm avaiable. I'm trying to get a promotion at work so my schedule is SUPER hectic.
As for Link, I understand your frustration, but rampaging on the forums isn't helping your cause. There are anime/manga/games that I obsess over but I don't let other people's opinions get to me, why let everyone else ruin something you enjoy?
Not everyone is going to like the same things as you, and a large majority of the crowd here on the forums and that attend the conventions are younger then you and I therefore they don't really know about the older stuff, it was before their time.
You can't pressure people into liking something if they don't. It's unfourtante that you can't find a group, but it looks like you and your girlfriend have good costumes and that you enjoy yourselves in them. Thats what matters most! Yes, having a group is fun, but you don't HAVE to have a group to have a good time!
Just take a deep breath, step back, and enjoy yourself! If it's meant to be, it will happen, other wise, don't let it get you down!~

A Fairview meet up would be amazing!! At the mall or, really, anywhere in that area. That's the closest mall to me (even if I do like Mills better).
Or astl would be fine. Meeting someone beforehand would be nice, even if we don't do the group, just knowing someone who is going to be there makes it easier.
I hate to make you come all the way over here when you said you live the farthest out but I can't navigate through St. Louis all that great yet. I leave it up to you whether we should all have a meet up.

Fairview would be fantastic! I work there, actually - it's about twenty minutes from my apartment! Of course I'd be willing to drive out to STL as well, but changing up the locations would be a dream. ^^
As for meeting at ASTL, I would love to, though I'm not sure how much I'd be there as I'm volunteering, however, I'd love to swing by at least briefly for some photos~!
Oh - where did you work in the Fairview Heights mall?
