AW :< doof move of them. I would've loved to trade for more manga. Though, my friends that I actually came with didn't leave with very much. (one of them got a video game for her dvds and then another bought some manga off one of our own) what figure did you have?

It was an Anya Alstreim figure. Well I brought like, 10 volumes. I dunno where they all even went to since it was just they were all grabbed from me, and I was more busy trying to keep my balance since one girl almost knocked me completely over than see who grabbed what. @__@
Eh, oh well...nothing I can really do about it now anyway.

Personally I liked the trade idea.
I think next year people should ask before taking because some people DO CARE.
However, I didn't and I think I'm the one that gave people the idea that anyone could just take take take. Because with my stuff (and I was the first person who started setting out their stuff) I wasn't looking for trade- anyone could just take what they wanted. I needed a massive clean out of my collection.
But not everyone is like me so yeah. . . ASK before you make grabby hands. >l I was really mad that people did that to Sabi. But I'm glad that there are people like Kafai who are massive sweeties <3.

Kafai, I think I was the one who traded with your friend regarding the game and dvds. I felt bad, I mean if there was other stuff of mine that she wanted too I would have gladly thrown them in the trade. Like the game walkthrough.
But other than the fail trade, I had a good time.

Personally I liked the trade idea. Don't get me wrong, I didn't hate the idea. I thought it was great. Just people ended up turning it into a "take what you want" .__.; Thus if anything it should either not be done again to avoid this, or somehow be worked out differently. No idea how that'd be done, although. And I don't blame you for it happening, some people (like yourself) just don't really require something in return. But people need to remember that it was supposed to be a trade. Because one person doesn't want anything in return, doesn't mean everyone else doesn't either..

Well! I find that every year the picnic gets better because of the 75 percent fact that people mature more or learn from last year what to and not to do.
So I have hope. :3
I think what could help regulate the trading thing is for us to make a list of what we have and lay the list on the table. On the list it would say something like:
Sabi ----- I have: -Bleach Manga volume 1
And if someone is interested they can go up to you and ask for a trade. That way everything isn't out in the open (less grabbing) but is still advertised for trading.

I like Tat's idea for listing what everyone brings. -nods-
If we decide to do a trade event again next year I think I'll wait until most of the people get there, and then I'll announce that the trading is commencing, then watch over the table as it goes on. That way, anyone who actually wants to trade won't wind up gipped. Or something like that. Idk.

D; Well here's looking forward to next year! ;D If, in your opinion, there was such issues that occurred at the picnic, then by all means don't come next year. The picnic is an overall awesome experience, even in 100+ weather, for the attendees, and a sarcastic, negative attitude is not appreciated. Sorry if that sounds b*tchy, but I take things like this personal. Also, if you're going to voice a complaint, please explain why you feel that way, instead of just verbally bashing.

I thought the picnic was in a comfortable 80 + degree weather.
The only "segregation" I remember was a group split off and went down to the lake.
