Hi guys, this topic will be deleted/locked as soon as this is decided. Last year, I heard a few complaints that the Galleria was getting tiring as a meeting place, which I could partially agree due to the fact that after a few hours it gets rather boring for some people and it is out of the way for some. This year, I would like more input from the people who like to attend. Of course though, no matter what we will still get my badges I make every year . For those who do not know what a Real People Meetup is... A meetup, sister to the ASTL Picnic (these were both created around the same time, four years ago!) that focuses on getting to know each other underneath the cosplay. While you can if you really wish to, this is the only time cosplay is not highly encouraged just so we can all get to know each other without it. So please vote in the poll, it will end in June 19th, the date I am looking at is July 10th, sometime after 5PM. I work often, and I can't get off anytime in June and July and a lot of August unless its weekdays after 2PM and Saturdays after 5PM. Sorry guys, I work two jobs so I have to do a lot. :C If you are going to suggest somewhere else, keep in mind two things... 1. Please keep in mind cost. 2. We will NOT do a picnic, that was what the ASTL picnic was for. :3

I voted for the Zoo due to the fact it is also close to a lot of free venues such as the Science Center. Also, I would just have to catch the bus there and I live by the Zoo. My second vote would be the City Museum. My friend knows people that can get us in for free (Well, just him and myself. Don't know about the rest of ya ) and the place is a fun area overall.

Zoo would be easy for me to get to, too. Although mom probably wouldn't be thrilled with staying at grandpa's house again while I'm there. That's what she did last year when I went to the real people meetup.
I do wanna go to the city museum though. I've never been there before, and mom never wants to go there. T^T

Well, I'd have to go with what seems to be the general love for the zoo. easy to get to for myself (could walk if need be), and it's always good fun. But, the city museum is also always fun. a bit more pricey, but I do admit there's more to do and is both indoors and outdoors. the zoo can be boiling midsummer, seeing as its mostly outdoors. So yeah...one of those two.

Now that I think about it, the City Museum would be a better bet and like I say, my friend can get some people in (if ya pretend to really know us that is lol)

The City Museum is an amazing place, don't get me wrong, but it's not as cool in a larger group? Or at least that's how I've felt about it, it's more of a one on one smaller group sort of thing. I think the zoo would be pretty cool though :> haven't been there in a long time.
btw, is the 10th a saturday? (my birthday is on the 12th lol)

I voted for the Zoo, but I just thought of this...isn't it only open until 7pm? I'm also throwing my support behind the City Museum. I think it'd be pretty perfect.

I think it does close at 7. That's a pretty good point, Vexy.

I want to go with "a different mall," but everyone else is scattered upon the earth! People live in Ballwin, Florissant[sp?], O'Fallon, Chesterfield and whatnot :S If it makes any difference at all, the Chesterfield mall people don't care what you do

I Agree with the Zoo just because it as close to everything as possible considering Downtown considering its a 20 minute distance from all the places unisaurusrex just noted and allot other plus people seem familiar with it . While malls are bit to localized meaning if you go to one itll will be set in specific not very accessible to another Like if say you go to the mills itll be a pain in the *ss for people in south county to goto plus its not really near any notable land marks, If you go to Say i know we wont but pretend were going to Crestwood itll be gas problem for people in Noco. The only Mall i could possibly imagen that not Happening is the Galleria but some people just dont want to do that.

Would everyone be up for rescheduling then? Since the Zoo closes at 7, and rescheduling to a weekday?
