Someday, maybe within a year or two,I'd like to cosplay as Zim or Dib from Invader Zim.What would be a good make-up for Zim's skin? That would mostly determine whether I cosplay him or Dib is the make-up,I've never done a character with face painting before.

Ben Nye is a super stage makeup brand... But make sure you know how to put it on first. I kinda failed a cosplay because I rushed and didn't bother looking for directions online first. But every professional makeup artist I've seen recommends Ben Nye brand—you can buy it at most costume shops, I think. Maybe even at wal-mart or something.

Theatre major here to endorse Ben-Nye!
It's all we used in the makeup courses I had when I was in college, it's wonderful, though make sure you invest in some Final Seal to go with it, especially if you're doing something with covering your entire face.
The best thing I can suggest for obtaining the makeup is to look for online distributors - a lot of theatre companies sell it.
Don't settle for knock-off grease makeups you find at Halloween stores -- it might seem tempting 'cause it's cheaper, but you'll regret it. >>
