Local St. Louis Cosplayer/Otaku Get Together?

I just moved here and I've only been living here for a few months so I don't have many friends here. But I was wondering if any one was interested in getting together and hanging out? Maybe at the South County mall or some thing? I live by Arnold like 5 minutes away. I'm just looking to make more friends especially cosplayers since I only have a few of those but now they're all in Texas where I met them except for my bf. lol I'm waiting to start a job so I could do it any time, but I suppose I'd have to go by my bf's schedual.

I'm not really sure about age restriction, I'm 22 myself so I'm old enough to go to a bar or drink or go to a casino and what have you. Honestly enough at the last con I went to last year I ended up hanging out with a bunch of high schoolers and I actually had fun and they were all like 15-17. O.o lol

But they were actually really fun and not as annoying and immature as I thought they would be.

Any way, if your interested just reply here. I don't have a cell phone for the time being so if you want to contact me personally I suppose you can give me a pm here or I can give you my email since I check it all the time.

You don't have to cosplay, but I suppose if you want that's cool. I'd love to dress up but I currently have no cosplays. >.<

I'll find out when I have some time, see maybe if my bf wants to go and hang out or some thing since he has to drive me there. And I might be working there so depending on my hours I might be stuck there for a few hours waiting to get picked up so that would work too. lol

im not sure if this is too late but i would love to do an anime meet up at one of the malls (maybe somewhere in the middle like mid rivers???)

Oh wow,5 minutes from Arnold? I live in Arnold Though,I should warn you,South County Mall usually doesn't allow cosplayers outside of Borders :/ Though that may have changed now? I dunno XD

Another great way you can make some local friends is getting into amtgard. Me and another guy from the con just joined 3 weeks ago. If you did Sleeping Samurai at the con its basically the same thing, medieval "cosplay" with foam weapons fights. If you want a better idea as to what it is I put a thread up not that long ago, All Otaku... Come to Amtgard. The cool thing about it is there are actually a lot of otaku who are already in amtgard. Me and the guy from the con are in "The Kingdom of Tal Dagore" in "Cordis Medagar." We meet at Arnold City Park on Sundays at noon and we go till about 4 or 5 and then out to eat some times. Joining is easy... just show up and I will take care of the rest. I am in charge of getting new people in and adding experience to what ever class they want to play. I have several foam swords that I can loan you till you get your own. Hope to see you there soon.
