If our cosplay includes being barefoot, is it allowed or do we have to just wear nude ballet shoes or socks of some kind?

At past convention barefeet have not been allowed

Yea i had a character that was suppose to be barefoot and the only time i was allowed to not have shoes on was when i was doing the skit but had to put them back on immediately

Being barefoot, while something I also enjoy, is typically not permitted on convention center grounds in a persistent basis. For photo ops/skits/etc., sure, no one is going to hassle that. However, it'd be best to have a regular pair of, as stated above, flesh colored slippers or even some flip-flops that you can throw on. I know it's not very helpful to your cos, and I apologize in that regard. =[
