Wish I had friends to go with...

Hey all. This was my very first convention and I had a blast! I'll be back next year for sure. I'm also looking at other local cons to attend this year. So far, I only found Natsucon and OMGcon.

Anyways, I had a lot of fun, but I sure was lonely. No one around here either likes anime or has money.

I went to the con expecting to meet people, but I guess I'm kinda shy around new people. I talked to a few people, but I didn't really know how to ask them to be friends.

One girl I talked to was wearing a Sakura cosplay and we both touched a figurines breasts (LOL) She seemed like a cool person, but she didn't seem to be interested in hanging around with me.

What should I do next time? How do I get con-goers to be friends with me?

1:If you are new to making cosplays, ask how they made theirs if you think its interesting or you may be able to use something they made for a future cosplay.

2:Talk about the animes that you know or know that they are from.

3: Ask if you can chill for a while, but not forever.

4: Strike up random conversations.

5: Hit up the otaku's facebooks that are linked to their photos in my thread Lets see those pics 2011
