From Midriver Mall Drive to the convention center is a little bit of a pain with traffic between Zumbehl and Midrivers Mall Drive. There are a TON of places to eat right across the highway on Fifth Street. There is a Denny's, and some other places as well. Also, if you are interested St. Charles has a sorta quirky little downtown area with cobble stone. If any of you are familiar with the Anita Blake novels by Laurell K. Hamilton that is where some of the vampire clubs are located in the book! I really recommend going to the St. Charles Convention Center website----> www.stcharlesconventioncenter.com/default.asp I feel that will answer some questions you may have pertaining to the convention!  |

What I am curious about is if anything is in walking distance. Honestly, the only thing in walking distance that I'm aware of is a QT and even that's a little risky because of the high flow of traffic. Looking at the PROS though The St. Charles Convention Center is pretty epic if I do say so myself. It's something I know ASTL has been aiming for since the birth of the con. My advic--if you are without transportation--is pizza being delivered and lots of ramen. lol |

Exciting news! As I was driving to The Loop today with my friends I saw that there is a Cracker Barrel right by the convention center! They're have fairly inexpensive food for a sit down restaurant! Just thought I'd let everyone know!
