Hello,
I'm Sew-it-all Creations and I will be selling animal hats and hoodies like I do at every con I attend.
but for my home con ASTL I want to make something special.Last year it was my jackets (vash, kiba, bleach and Ed) THIS YEAR I want to make Kimonos. The theame is festivals and I think this will tie in nicely. I just would like some feed back on this idea though. Also any thoughts on colors would be a big help.
Thank you!

Kimonos would be beautiful. For colors light colors would be good to go with a spring festival theme. Especially white and pink for cherry blossoms colors.

Pastel spring colors would really bring out the season when the con is being held. :'3 (Or I'm just a sucker for bright pastels ahaha)

Men's kimono are usually pretty boring looking xD Mostly solid colors or simple patterns like stripes. Women's kimono can be simple as well, or very elaborate. I think bright colors would go over best. You could try making some designed to look like kimono versions of notable anime outfits. I can totally picture a yellow and black kimono with a pikachu tail sticking out the back... xD

I have some soft flower prints I plan on using and a nice blue/grey for a mens Kimono. I plan on pastel colors as TAT said. Some light blue and soft pinks. I do have some prints in mind that may seem non-traditional, but are worn at modern festivals in Japan. Kind of a j-pop vibe.

I just finished my first two but you'll have to wait for the con to see them ; ) Look for the Blue Sew-it-all Banner.

I have only a half table at the con so look for the AKATSUKI kimono and animal hats for my stuff. Most will be under the table. I have two yugatas, two men robes, two j-pop top kimonos(short and ment to be worn with pants but with floor lenth sleeves) and one cosplay kinomo, the akatsuki one. All come with obis and range from 50-70 dollars. Please come by and comment on them even if you are not in the market for one.
