Greetings!
For any wondering where the "Go Team Anime STL" thread went, well, it was starting to take a turn into drama town. I understand that there is a great number that support this convention, and man do we appreciate it. But, know that we wish for the drama to cease. After this year, there will be a known difference between Anime St. Louis and Kawa Kon. Both sides are establishing their identities in their own ways. On this forum, you can give critiques, you can discuss theories, but we ask that you keep any opinions about certain people to yourselves. This forum is not a place for "Haha @ person A". (An exception to this is critiquing staff performance at conventions. Avoid singling people out.)
If you want to support us, all we ask is that you tell people about our convention. Direct them to the website, tell them about past events, just talk about the convention. Good old fashioned attendee enthusiasm is what this con was founded on, and without that continued support and enthusiasm, this convention would not be able to thrive. All we want is for everyone to have a good time; 100% fun with no perservatives or drama (but maybe some Red 40 for color).
So please, don't worry about the business end of things, let us handle that. All we ask from our attendees is to give us their support, whether it is through word-of-mouth, volunteering, or just pure coming to have a good time. If you ever feel there is something that the staff needs to heavily look into, feel free to e-mail us. Thank you again for the support, and we hope you all will enjoy this upcoming 4th year.
