Tattoos and cosplays

So I got 2 Tattoos, one on each arm, and I am going to cosplay Hisagi, there is no way to cover them up like with my wolfwood cosplay, an idea's on what to do, they are black and my friend make up stuff couldn't cover it completely up.

What makeup were you using?

There's makeup formulated to cover tattoos. Unfortunately, the best brands I know of are often available online, but if you have a costume store near you (probably something better than a party city/holloween store) they might stock some proper costume makeup. Here's some examples of what I'm talking about:

And at costume shops, the Kryolan makeup brand. They should sell it in cake makeup and liquid makeup form.

Hope that helps a little bit. Know that the makeup sold at Walgreen's, Walmart, or Target will most likely not have enough coverage for tattoos.

Thanks, this helps, I will defently have some of this for Acen lol for now I will try and find some stuff that you were talking about at a costume shop but I dont really know of any lol

i too have two tattoos but i'm not really worried on covering them, the reason being if people do not like them.... well its a good thing there on me and not them. ^_^ besides i have a LoZ tat on me left arm so it works for my cosplay

You can also buy Kryolan online, but it's better to buy it in person so you can be color-matched.

Try looking through the yellow pages for costume shops. The ones I know of are in Chicago, so I can't be of too much help there. I recommend checking out MAC or Sephora first.

lol well mine are also tribles ^_^ the twilight princess logo and another trible on my right. Truthly my friend i would not worry about them. I'm cosplaying Ordon village Link and he shows his arms as you can see. Like i said if people do not like them then do not look lol I know people are trying to get as close to the character as they can. The fact is somethings will just have to live with. If people come up to me saying my cosplay is bad because i have tattoos then they will not like my reply
