The entire three days I heard "You just lost the game!" everywhere. In the masquerade line, elevator, registration line, panels, dealer's room, and just walking through the hall. Seriously, please, that phrase should be banned.

I was sitting down waiting for friends and one girl just screamed it every 5min. I really wanted to yell STFU, but some guy did it before me.

Could someone please explain to me what that phrase is from?? I heard it like 50 times and had no clue what it was referencing. I felt like an idiot, since I'm usually up on those things.

Could someone please explain to me what that phrase is from?? I heard it like 50 times and had no clue what it was referencing. I felt like an idiot, since I'm usually up on those things. It's from an internet craze called The Game. Basically, the rules are "you are always playing The Game" and "anytime you think of The Game, you lose". So what folks do is at any given time, they will yell "I lost The Game", causing anyone who gets the reference to play along. It's been a long time since I've heard about it, so I don't know what kicked it back into gear, but yes, I agree it got very old by Saturday.

I didn't know what it was either. I was like "How can I lose the game when I don't know what your talking about?"

Aha... ha. I'm sorry. You were right behind us in the Masquerade line, so you probably heard me say it a few times, Pixie.
Plus I kind of walked around with a 'You lost the game' sign on Saturday. ^ ^;

I think an adequate reply for "You just lost the game" might be "You just killed the game." Followed by a smack upside the head, if permissible.
