The entire three days I heard "You just lost the game!" everywhere. In the masquerade line, elevator, registration line, panels, dealer's room, and just walking through the hall. Seriously, please, that phrase should be banned.

It's from an internet craze called The Game.

Basically, the rules are "you are always playing The Game" and "anytime you think of The Game, you lose". So what folks do is at any given time, they will yell "I lost The Game", causing anyone who gets the reference to play along. It's been a long time since I've heard about it, so I don't know what kicked it back into gear, but yes, I agree it got very old by Saturday.

I think an adequate reply for "You just lost the game" might be "You just killed the game." Followed by a smack upside the head, if permissible.
