Older Otaku's

my brother is 22 and there was a congoer from Springfield that dresses as the Bleach captain, i met him and all of his friends are over 20 (i think they were).

I do not fit into this category but thought i would post for my brother since i drag him along for the fun.

I'm 21 right now? I've been going to conventions since I was 17.

I'm 26, 27 in a couple of weeks. I'm kind of a bad judge of age though, so I really didn't think that most of the people at the con were that much younger than me. Didn't help that I was unaware of the coded badge system, but ended up making little difference since I only talked to a few people anyway (and didn't hit on anyone, least of all minors).

I suppose it's a sad indication that the person I best hit things off with, and really the only person I could hold a conversation with, didn't even like anime. He was Nick's (the con president) dad.

This was my first convention but I'm a total otaku. I'd been playing RPGs since I was a sprout and eventually picked up anime in moderation. Now I usually watch about 10 hours a week.

It breaks my heart that there are so few otaku my age :c

I didn't really start watching anime until I was in 5th grade, but I've been playing video games since I was a 3 year old. Started with Super Mario Bros 3. ^_^

Trust me when I say I wasn't real good at it. I still can't beat that game. XD

I remember the crappy MegaMan cartoon.....That was anime right? Or was that like the Super Mario Brothers tvshow with the Legend of Zelda cartoon. The one that was the abomination to God. You know the one.

I don't remember the Zelda cartoon, but I do remember the Mario cartoon. I hated that show so much when I was little. Still do. XD

I watched Speed Racer with my mom when I was little from time to time. Never really go into it, but Sailor Moon was probably the first anime I watched on my own. I just watched it on TV one day without realizing what it was for a minute or two. This was when it was on Toonami.
