Your First Cosplay

Okay, I've skimmed over the boards a bit and hope that this hasn't been addressed somewhere else, but I'm just curious as to the age of most of the people for their first cosplay experience.

I'm going to be 22 in June, and I've just gotten in cosplaying (I had heard about it before but never truly knew what it was all about... I wish I had because I would have gotten into this sooner). I am thinking this is probably a great deal older than most anyone else. But, I tend to be late getting into anything. I'm just curious to know if this is a relatively okay thing me just now wanting to start cosplaying, or if I'm the only one. ^^;

(Of course I won't be able to go to any cons until next year, so I'll almost be 23 before my first con )

I was 19 and it was ACEN, I was Vash The Stampede.
Im 25 now and still not stopping, im actually just getting warmed up.

My first cosplay was at the last ASTl actually, and I was Sexy No Jutsu Sasuke (as a joke between me and a friend of mine). I was 18. And granted the cosplay failed horribly, it was still pretty fun.

I was 15 when I did my first cosplay. It was in '07 at AStL :3 I went as Shippuden Temari from Naruto and I had a fan too.... but it made me realize that I will probably not ever wear a blonde wig again xD hahaha. The cosplay itself was decent though :3

I wentas Shippo one Halloween. I threw it together in about three hour from scratch. Looking back I would never have worn it to a convention, but for Halloween it looked great!

We also went with a Inuyasha and a Sesshoumaru. We were supposed to have a Miroku, but she copped out at the last minute and went as Scarlet O'Hara.

It was really fun, but noone knew who we were.

My first cosplay was Tifa from FFVII Advent Children last year, it wasn't a very good one and my wig was awful but it was still fun. Oh and I'm going to be 21 this year and cosplaying again.

My first cosplay is Kakuzu. It's so fun to be that money loving guy. I get my inspiration from Mr. Krabs. XD

I was 19 when I started making the cosplay, and then finished at 20 (my birthday occured when I started to make it).

2006 at Gen Con Indy...I was 14, and I was cosplaying Akasuna no Sasori from Naruto. >__>;

Temari's second outfit from Naruto when I was 12. I just wore it to our library's anime club a couple times.

Gaaah, I was 11 or 10 or something and wanted to dress up a Tsunade from Naruto for Halloween.
I DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS COSPLAY.

I was 12 and I cosplayed Chocolat from Bakuretsu Hunters for Halloween. My first official cosplay for a con was Nabiki from Ranma 1/2 when I was 13 at ACen '03. :3

I feel so young. xD My cosplaying skills have not really improved in the last 6 years. xD But I hope to do a lot better for the next few years once I take sewing classes over the summer! <3
