Make sure you keep everything your brought with you at all times. The last con i went to I left my money in the dealers room, not fun ^ ^;; But people are nice, so ask around if you do. . . . Riku! ok, thanx ...sora! lol, that reminds me of in kh2 when kairi says "so-ra" really weird XD

I've had an experience like this, myself. Back in 07 I lost my cellphone during the convention. Someone brought it to the front desk of the hotel, though. So if you lose something at a con and it's not where you left it, it's good to check with staff of either the convention or hotel/convention center.

My first con was A-kon 18, and it was the first time I wore a wig seriously. And make sure you try those things on before going. I had wig cap problems and it was iiicky. Brown hair leaking out of a pink wig looks horrible. xD;;
Also, wear comfy shoes if you have no costume. Or if you have one make sure you take care of your feet. My feet blister extremely easily, and bandaging them helps a lot. I also hear spraying antiperspirant on them helps; just make sure to wash them at the end of the day.
And safety pins are amazing. NEVER GO WITHOUT THEM. Also, don't go without money, cell phones, bobby-pins, and water.
Dunno if that helps. That's just the main stuff I've learned. :3;;

Hey guys great topic for the con and all this info will be addressed at the con virgin panel that the Turks and Rob Zombie will host next year...All so one question do you think that we should allow parents to attend the panel so that they understand what the hell is going on.

yes, I think the parents should be allowed to join. Cause most likely they will be scared to death if they don't know what to expect lol XD

True, but then again there will be those parents that'll go," OMG! My baby's getting involved in this sort of stuff? That's it. We're going home."
Can't win every time, but I do think that the parent thing might be a good idea... depending on what all subjects we bring up to them.

Depends on what you want to do, some costumes need a place to put them on and others dont.

since last year was my first con(wich was astl) i has a few tips
1. dont be shy have fun and talk to anyone and everyone u can
2. if u make friends dont be afraid to ask for some contact info....it is good to have con friends that u keep in touch with so u wont be lonely next time and u all can co-ordinate outfits some time
3. if u make ur own outfit....dont worry it looks fine!!!
4.BRING MONEY.....i didnt have nearly enough money last year.....so i didnt eat anything other then a box of poky for three days
5.sleep as much a possible BEFORE the con.....chances are ur only chance to sleep at the con might be a short nap or two in the corner....lol coffe is ur friend!!!
6.if u bring a camera make sure u have LOTS of extra film
7. If u dont like being hugged....be afriad be very afraid
8. around certain people pocky IS money....so make sure u have plenty
i might have more later but i have to go to my next class now

Now that we have all said what we need to about the first timers i will say this about my first time at a con.
1. I can't stress this enough that knowing where your friends are and having a meeting place is key.
2. Don't go anywhere without telling your friends where you are.
3. Try to eat some fruit ,granola, and something else nutritious, I had to be in bed for 5 hours cause I didn't eat right and I had the worst time because i didn't eat real food.(pocky is not food)
4. There are great people that go to con and are glad to help you with any problems that you have we all want a great con and the happier we all are the better the con will be
5. Don't for get that goofy pictures are the norm at con so don't be to serious about the person that you are dressed as i have many funny pictures on my myspace that I will laugh at all the time.
6. Have fun!!!
