I heard of some incidents where some underaged girls were getting felt up by a certain fellow that comes to area cons.. ><

Other Tips
- Eat out or bring something to eat in your room - Its okay to leave the con for a little while. Something isn't happening every minute. We usually look at the schedule and plan accordingly when to go out and eat meals.
-Watch your things! I am a little obsessive about watching my things. I double and triple check where I set things all the time. Stolen cash = no money for the dealer's room or food.
-Watch out for stalkers. I had a total of 2 stalkers, though not at a con, they are creepy.
-Get some sleep. By Sunday (averaging about 6-7 hours a sleep) I'm still worn out by the dances, cosplay contest, and other general running around. Sleep = friend.
-Travel in pairs or goups, especially at night and outside the convention center. - We have a hotel that's less than a minute away and we still plan to drive to the actual convention center each time.
-If you have a weapon don't swing it around without looking where your swining. Clumsy people like me will somehow get their head in the way.
-As for glomping and hugging I don't mind, you might surprise me but I usually just flinch and sqeal. I do have friends however who don't like to be touched by strangers and sometimes even by other friends. Just always asking is a good and polite. I mean you wouldn't hug a stranger in a department store just because they looked like *insert favorite movie star here* would you?

To expound... If someone's harrassing you, report them to staff immediately. Seriously, even if you're built like a tank, there's no reason to walk around alone, especially at larger conventions.. Always have a friend or three, or failing that, see if there's groups going to the same place you are. Preferably, don't be swinging it at all.  ALWAYS ask before touching someone. It's been said several times in this thread but it cannot be stressed enough. Personally, I'm usually pretty alright with it. But many people are not, and if you get knocked on your butt because of it it's your own fault. And seriously, I wish I could sleep at conventions. Ah, to not have obligations again... |

I don't care what people say, Sleep is VERY IMPORTANT. I can't say it enough. I cant' tell you all how many times I've had friends who literally get sick from exhaustion on the third day and just can't even make it and have to leave early.
Eat ACTUAL food (pack pre-prepared lunches! Like Bento's!). That's super important too. I dont' care if you want to show how amazing you are by staying up and not eating. It'll kill you by Monday. Next year, Hopefully when Maid Cafe comes back we'll be incorporating more solid food to keep people going.

i think we are all in agreement that the 3 imporant things are 1) SHOWER ( i believe this year i shall be handing out soap to everyone) 2) eat Pocky is not real food 3) Sleep no one likes a grouchy con goer

also.....if you are going to have special black Kakashi time in the room (+18 fun) tell your room mates. Nothing sucks worse that walking in on your buddies in the act....well for them and they will never find the pictures. Romance time at a con is best kept private, alone, and well gaurded in a locked room.
