<< asexual chick who's into chicks ... you really think so dftaker? I've always wished I was a gay guy cause they seem to get along as really awesome friends as well as partners from what I've seen. I guess things really do tend to look better over the fence lol

I agree that's kind of silly. Men and women both have their goods and bads. When it comes to relationships I think your overall personality, how you handle things, and who you're dating tell how your relationships are.

Awh Lotus, I guess it does depend on the two involved. I have seen and been in relationships that were good but over all when I speak and discuss with my lesbian or bisexual friends. It has always seemed that they were on such an emotional bond together that was amazing.
But as Tat states it does matter about the two involved really. Just most boys that I end up with are all about sex -.- or physical contact and less interested in being able to have endless conversations. But again I can't say that is how all gay relationships are, there are some that have a strong friendship and bond. I've just ended up with all the horny ones I guess lol.

As long as you find love, that's all that matters.

Sorry to hear it df; I'm not a fan of those types myself. There is sooo much more to life than sex and while I can respect that some people place a high value on it, I don't think that it should be the most important thing. I'd rather have a good debate about religion, or what happens when you die, or how simple hand to hand combat can possibly result in the total annihilation of shirts and skirts in the Ikki Tousen anime! XD I can't say much about lesbian relationships myself as I have not actually had one (yet) lol, but my observation of a lot of lesbian couples is that one usually ends up playing a male role of sorts, deliberately or not I don't know, and it usually results in the same arguments, shallowness, petty bullcrap, and power struggles that I see in most hetero relationships. I'm sure they are not all like that, but it's kind of sad that these male/female roles follow into even a gay relationship, ya know? However, I do agree that it depends on who you're with, and I hope that someday I'll meet someone that I get along with as a fantastic friend more that anything else. But this again is why I wish I were a gay guy; there seems to be so many of them running around all over the place and some are just sooo adorable and nice!!! X3 (That's why YOU get all the pervs lol... too much cuteness!! Hello Kitty FTW!)

Lotuskitty: What you said about lesbians would also apply to gay men. Jealousy is a part of humanity. We will always have that ping in the back of our minds about if the person you are with really loves you or if they are behind your back cheating. Sure, it might be a small thought that is quickly crushed, but it would still be there.
But this is just the logic of a straight guy that's never been in a relationship.

Exactly Lotus; a conversation about religion or other thoughtful topics are very enjoyable. Specially topics about anime, video games etc haha. Its like awwwh yaay. ^_^
Well as Vizard states you will get that stuff even in gay relationships. People will always get jealous or worried but if its a real relationship hopefully both individuals will understand they have nothing to fear about the other one cheating or trying to be the boss of the other person.
You seem like a very fun and intelligent person Lotus so I'm sure you'll meet someone special.
Awwh you're very sweet, I'm glad you like Hello Kitty haha xD.

Yeah very true; I suppose conflict is a natural reaction to peoples' differences no matter the matchup. Ah well, I hope to meet all you awesome peeps at con '11! There should definitely be a GLBT meetup! ^_^

I'm Bi. But I'm kinda afraid of coming out to people, since when people found out when I lived with my aunt, I got beaten on by some bitchy homophobes. So I'm just now being able to talk about it, really. ^^

Sorry that you had to go through such a horrible experience. But people are more tolerant now adays in certain areas of St.Louis so you should be able to feel safer than before.
^_^ I hope you are able to fully be comfortable with yourself one day without fear of homophobes.

So I'm just now being able to talk about it, really. ^^ D: I'm sorry you had to experience that. v.v; I thankfully never had any awful experiences like that. People would either make fun of me or I would get guys trying to get me to "try men out". It's no good to keep who you are under wraps so talk away :3 That's the purpose of this thread. And I'd like to make a GLBT meetup at the con next year. I can only think of two ways to do it though. I can ask to make it into a panel or we can schedule going out to eat during the con or something. I would do a room party but those aren't allowed at the hotel.

Hmm, yeah a close restaurant or something would be good. This will be my first ASTL so I don't know what's nearby, but I'm good with whatever. We'd just have to pick the day and time. And of course you're going df!!!
